My Story

If you had met me years ago, you would not have met the man I have Become today.

Because before I ever learned how to lead others, I had to learn how to lead myself.

I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where life taught me difficult lessons long before I fully understood them. I watched my mother struggle with drug addiction. I watched my father and other men in my family carry emotional pain in silence, believing they had to fight every battle alone. From an early age, I learned that many men suffer quietly—not because they don't want help, but because they've been taught that asking for it is a sign of weakness.

As I got older, those experiences began to shape my own life. I wrestled with my mental health, made poor decisions, struggled with financial irresponsibility, and searched for purpose while trying to figure out what it truly meant to become a man. Like so many others, I tried to outrun my pain instead of facing it.

For a long time, I believed I could fix my life through my own strength. But real transformation didn't begin until I surrendered my life to God.

My relationship with Jesus Christ became the foundation that changed everything. It gave me hope when I felt hopeless, peace when my mind felt restless, and purpose when I felt lost. My faith didn't remove every challenge, but it transformed the way I walked through them. It reminded me that my past did not define me, my mistakes did not disqualify me, and that God could redeem every part of my story for a greater purpose.

Since joining the Marine Corps in 2014, I've had the privilege of serving and leading Marines in demanding environments where discipline, accountability, resilience, and integrity are essential. The Marine Corps developed my leadership, but my faith shaped my heart. Together, they taught me that true strength isn't found in pretending you have it all together—it's found in humility, character, service, and the courage to keep growing.

Those experiences inspired me to create Become Before You Lead.

My mission is to help teenage boys stepping into manhood and men of all ages break unhealthy cycles, prioritize their mental health, grow in their faith, and become leaders of character. I want men to know they don't have to carry every burden alone, that healing is not weakness, and that asking for help can be one of the strongest decisions they ever make.

I believe the greatest leadership challenge isn't leading a team, a company, or a family.

It's leading yourself.

Because when a man is transformed from the inside out, everything around him begins to change. He becomes a better father. A better husband. A better friend. A better leader. A better example for the next generation.

That's why I do this work.

Not because I have a perfect story, but because I've experienced the grace of a perfect God who continues to transform my life every day. My prayer is that when people hear my story, they won't simply see what I've overcome—they'll believe that lasting change is possible in their own lives.

Become Before You Lead.

Master Yourself. Lead Others. Leave a Legacy.
